There are several methods of acquiring MP3 music; ripping, downloading, purchasing, etc.  All music files are not the same.  There are several other formats that may seem like an MP3 file, yet are not.  These include WMA, AAC, WAV, CDA, and ATRAC.  Only files with the .mp3 extension will work on your Aiptek camera.  You may verify that your music files are in MP3 format by right clicking on one, choosing Properties, and viewing the File Type.

1.
Before attaching the camera, turn the unit ON and Press the MODE button.  Select the SETTINGS menu and scroll down to find and select USB MODE.  Then select DISK and attach to your Computer.

2. Your system will read the camera as a REMOVABLE DISK DRIVE located in the MY COMPUTER portion of your system. Go to MY COMPUTER open up the drive and you will see a MP3 folder that will be located next to a folder called DCIM.  Open up the MP3 folder and then minimize it.

3. Now locate the folder on your system containing your music.  Verify that your music files are in MP3 format by right clicking on one, choosing Properties and seeing what the File Type is. (If the Properties show a different file type such as Windows Media Audio they would need to be converted to MP3 before continuing)

4. Once you have located and verified your music files are MP3 format, you can right click on a file and choose Copy. You can then bring back up the MP3 folder, go to the Edit menu in the upper left corner and choose Paste.  You should then see the file copy into this location.

5. Once you have copied your MP3’s into the MP3 folder you can disconnect the camera. Turn the camera on, press the MODE button and select the MP3 playback option to play your MP3’s.

1. Change the Mode Dial on your Camera to Playback

2. Connect your Camera to the computer via the USB Cable

3. Open "My Computer"

4. You should have 2 new drives.  Normally they will be listed in sequence (F:, G:), however, this is not always the case.

5. The First Drive will be for your external memory (SD Card), the Second will be for your internal memory (16 MB).  If you have an SD Card, you must place the MP3 Files in the MP3 Folder on that drive.  Otherwise place your MP3 Files in the MP3 Folder on the Second Drive.

6. Once the Copying is finished, Disconnect your Camera.

7. Switch the Camera to MP3 Mode, and Power the Camera On.  You will be able to Playback your MP3's!
