| Updates | ||||||
|
1. Updating your pocket
projector is a useful tool that can help you achieve
optimal functionality from your device.
Follow these steps to check your current Firmware version: |
||||||
| a. Power the projector ON. | ||||||
| b. Use the RIGHT arrow key and move to the memory card icon then press OK. | ||||||
|
c.
Enter the memory card area to view the information for internal memory as
well as a memory card if one is being used. |
||||||
|
|
||||||
|
d.
Press and hold the LEFT arrow key until the FW information appears (as
shown below). The FW VER: should read 2122. |
||||||
|
||||||
| e. If your version is less than: FW Ver: 2122, you may download the update from the following link: | ||||||
| http://www.goaiptek.com/downloads/PocketCinemaV10-firmwareupdate.zip | ||||||
| *Note*: Please save the file to your computer, then open the .PDF file for instructions to run the update. | ||||||
| Battery | ||||||
|
1. The best method to charge
the battery is to use the provided wall adaptor cable. This can shorten the
charge time to a 3 ½ to 4 ½ hour process. |
||||||
| *Note*: Please be sure the unit is turned off and that the battery is inserted label side up. | ||||||
|
2. The standard battery life
of a single charge is 1 hour and 10 minutes. You may also power directly
from the provided wall adaptor cable for all of your playback needs. |

| Memory Expansion | ||||||
|
1. Utilize the SD slot to
expand your file storage capacity. The projector can use a range of SD sizes
from as low as 1GB - 32GB SDHC Class 4 or lower. SAN DISK, DANE-ELEC, or TRANSCEND are brands that are friendly to this unit. |

| *Note*: Do not use MINI, MACRO, HIGH SPEED, ULTRA, and ULTRA 2 type SD cards. | ||||||

| IPOD / DVD Player / S-VIDEO OUT Connections | ||||||

1. The pocket projector can
be plugged into you IPOD or DVD player as long as the devices can output.
The following cables are compatible type examples. |

*Please verify that the cables can connect to the provided RCA cable. There
is not any specific brand that has to be used generic will work as well as expensive versions* |

|
||||||
|
2. PC connection can be
established using an S-Video to RCA output cable and the provided Y AV
cable. *Important Note* Please verify with your LAPTOP/PC manufacturer to determine if the system being used has an S-Video/ Output as well as the MINI DVI port specifications. For MINI DVI a MINI DVI adaptor along with an extra male AV cable may be necessary to complete a connection along with the provided Tri-Color AV cable. |

| File Compatiblity | ||||||
|
1. The CD included contains
a program, provided by ARCSOFT, called MEDIA CONVERTER.
It is necessary to install and utilize this program to convert your video files to make them compatible for file playback. |
||||||
|
*NOTE* Projector supported file types for playback are: JPEG for photo, MP3 for music, and Media Converter converted MJPEG-AVI or MPEG-4.ASF. Files encoded with X-VID, DIVX, 3VIX, ETC. will not playback correctly even if they are .AVI or .ASF file types. |

| File Converting with ArcSoft Media Converter | ||||||
|
1. Make sure to install and
then open ARCSOFT MEDIA CONVERTER. You may then click the Add Files button
or you may locate your files and then DRAG/DROP them into the work area and click Start. |

| How to Setup Mpeg Stream-Clip for converting a file to view on your Projector | ||||||
| 1. After the program opens up, select the file option at the top of the window. Now choose open file. Choose the file you want to convert. Navigate to the location of where the file is located. Then select the file. | ||||||
| 2. When the file appears in the display window select the file option again, and then select “EXPORT TO MPEG-4”. Once the exporter window appears, at the top change the compression, to “Apple Mpeg-4 Compression”. | ||||||
| 3. You will have different options to choose from, but the key option to address is the “Frame Size”. This should not exceed 720x480P. Also manually input the FPS to 30FPS. Now choose the “MAKE MPEG-4”. After the file is done converting, you can now copy this file to the projector. | ||||||

| Using with POWERPOINT Software | ||||||
|
1. Power Point presentations for office
personnel may require the use of a tri-pod. If the table top Tri-pod is not
adequate, please visit the following link for a portable telescoping tripod that works great to provide extra height and view: |

2. With numerous fonts and
styles to choose from sometimes Power Point Work can be troublesome. This
projector displays the following font style types the best: |
||||||
|
a. Garamond, Bookman Old
Style, and New Times Roman. Stick to a range of 18-32 when it comes to the
size of the font. |
||||||
|
*Note*: Pay close attention before finalizing all projects. Settings like Bold can sometimes make the letters appear to be blurry. |
||||||
| 3. Take advantage of the remote for professional hands free access to your work. | ||||||
|
4.
Slide
shows with more than 9 slides require that each file is named SLIDE 01-09
then 10 saving the final project as .JPG this way the slides stay in numeric order. Files could look like 1-10-2-3-4 and so on appearing out of order and looking un- professional. |
