What is 720p HD and why do I need it?

 
 

720p HD is a standard High Definition quality resolution (1280x720). 
720p =
720 lines of vertical display resolution and the letter p stands for progressive scan or non-interlaced.
HD is a far more superior format than standard VHS.

 
     
  What is H.264?  
 

H.264 is high end video MPEG-4 compression also known as AVC (Advanced Video Coding).
This allows for high quality video and low file size output.

  How can I get the best HD video?  
 

Hold the camera as still as possible and don’t make sudden fast movements. 
Using a tri-pod is also greatly recommended. 
Make sure you have sufficient lighting and your subject is not making rapid movements.

  Can I playback my files on my HDTV or Standard TV?  
 

Yes, the package includes the Component cable and AV Cable to connect to your HDTV or Standard TV.

Note: GO-HD+ and A-HD Automatically Detect” when plugging into your HDTV and or Standard TV.
Video instructions are only for the original GO-HD.

  Do I need Quick-Time?  
 

If you do not wish to install Quick-Time, you can install the Windows Media Player Decoder supplied on the CD.

  What size memory card will it take?  
 

The camera can support an 8 Gigabyte SDHC Card which will provide up to 4 hours of HD video.  
We suggest using well known SD Card brands, such as: Dane Elec, San Disk, PNY, and Kingston.

  How long will the battery last?  
 

The package includes a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. 
Depending on usage the battery can approximately last 20 to 35 minutes.

  Can I edit my HD Movies?  
 

The H.264 is a new standard and most of the software companies are working on updating their editing programs to support this new advanced technology.
Note: If you have a Mac system running 10.3 OS or above, you can edit and burn your HD clips with built-in software “iMovie HD”.

 
     
  Can I burn / make DVD movies with my HD videos?  
 

Yes, we currently offer the program Arc-Soft Total Media Extreme   “Nero 7 Ultra” also works great and others are being updated ….

 
     
  Will the HD videos work on my Mac?  
 

Yes, no driver is needed.
Users using MAC 10.3 OS or above should have no problems editing the files and burning DVD’s.
You can edit and burn your HD clips with built-in software “iMovie HD”.

 
     
  What are the buttons on the LCD Panel for?  
  The four buttons are for Power and Video Playback Control.
Use them to Skip Back, Play/Pause, and Skip Forward.
 
     
  How can I get the best HD video?

Keeping subject within 4 feet of the camera for best clearity and to create an overall better shot.

 
     
  Can I record from my TV/VCR/DVD player to my camera?  
 

A-HD ONLY.  The GO-HD does not offer this feature. 
Please make sure that the AV cable is connected to the AV OUTPUT jacks on your TV/VCR/DVD Player.
Once these are connected, you should be able to see the TV/VHS/DVD on the camera’s LCD screen. 
Press the record button to start/stop recording.
